Why We Built This Site
Finding a Logan County court record can require more than knowing a case name. County court and district court have different responsibilities, the clerks keep different files, and Nebraska JUSTICE separates trial-court searches by court level. The county seat is Stapleton, but a courthouse location is not itself a complete search answer. This resource puts the public search paths, office roles, court-date cautions, and copy-request basics in one place so a person can begin with the correct official custodian.
Nebraska court records are governed by public-access rules and statutory limits. The purpose here is to make that system easier to approach, not to reproduce the official files or replace the responsible clerk.
What You Will Find Here
The site groups practical Logan County docket information by task and court record type.
- Docket routes: information on criminal and civil trial-court dockets.
- Dates and settings: how county-court calendars differ from a register of actions and why clerk confirmation matters.
- Case lookup: the public Nebraska JUSTICE route and the distinction between county and district searches.
- Copies and files: sources for court-record, certification, and clerk-request information.
- City context: Stapleton and Gandy pages that explain the county-wide court route.
What We Cannot Do
Logan County Court Docket is privately operated and cannot act for a Nebraska court, a clerk, or a county office. Official records and decisions remain with the court that has jurisdiction. Only that court or its clerk can issue a certified copy, set or reset a hearing, accept a filing, change a docket, seal a case, or explain an order in an official capacity.
- We cannot retrieve an official case file or record for a visitor.
- We cannot confirm, modify, or reschedule a court setting.
- We cannot issue certified copies, seals, or authenticated certificates.
- We cannot remove, amend, or seal a court record.
- We cannot provide legal advice about a pending or completed matter.
- We cannot guarantee a clerk's current hours, fees, or mailing address.
The original court record comes from the responsible clerk. For Logan County Court, that is Clerk Magistrate Brenda Cochran; district-court record questions belong with Clerk Jennifer Nicholson.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain a search widget run by a separate provider. That provider controls its own service, data handling, and charges. If a visitor follows a partner result to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. The arrangement does not make the widget an official Logan County or Nebraska court search, and it does not change the need to verify a record with the court or clerk.
